Consequences of MGA Revoking Tipbet’s License

In a recent announcement by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), Tipbet has had its gambling license revoked. As a result, Tipbet is required to cease all gaming operations immediately and refrain from accepting new player registrations. However, existing players must still be granted access to their accounts to withdraw any remaining funds within five days of requesting a withdrawal.

The decision by the MGA does not affect Tipbet’s license from the German Joint Gambling Authority (GGL). Tipbet remains on the GGL’s whitelist, allowing the company to legally offer sports betting and casino games to German gamblers.

MGA’s Requirements for Tipbet

In addition to halting operations, Tipbet must settle any outstanding amounts with the MGA. The MGA has instructed Tipbet to provide a transaction report extracted from its internal back-end system and submit account statements for its business accounts within seven days.

Earlier this year, the MGA revoked licenses from several gambling operators due to violations of regulations. While the specific reasons for Tipbet’s license revocation have not been disclosed, the MGA is expected to release more information soon. We will provide updates as soon as new details emerge.
