The Demise of the Mirage Volcano

Mirage Volcano to be Replaced

According to Hard Rock International, the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will be replaced by the new Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas, with the Mirage Volcano being demolished on July 17, 2024 to make way for a new glass guitar-shaped hotel tower.

Farewell to the Mirage Volcano Show

The Mirage Volcano, a free attraction on the Las Vegas Boulevard since 1989, is known for its nightly eruptions featuring explosions, a soundtrack by renowned musicians, and a spectacular light and sound show lasting approximately 10 minutes.

What’s Next?

The construction of the guitar-shaped hotel tower will commence on the site of the Mirage Volcano, with the exact start date yet to be announced but the project must begin by November 16, 2024. While the iconic volcano show will be missed by many, anticipation grows for what the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino will offer its guests.
